2018 AFL Fixture Released
The 2018 Toyota AFL Premiership Season Fixture has been released and there’s a lot to be excited about.
Etihad Stadium has again been allocated 45 ‘home and away’ matches in total including eight Friday night and nine Saturday night games.
There are a number of highlights in the draw for all football fans with a number of notable games scheduled to be played at the stadium.
Etihad Stadium will host a Thursday night match between Sydney and 2017 Premiers Richmond in round 15 on June 28th.
Following on from 2016 we will again play host to the annual Good Friday match to be played on Match 30th between North Melbourne and St Kilda.
The days and times for the two Round 23 games will, as in previous seasons, be determined later in the season.
The stadium’s tenant clubs will also see a great spread of games amongst teams – St Kilda (13 games), North Melbourne (11 games), Western Bulldogs (13 games), Essendon (8 games), Carlton (8 games). Hawthorn, Collingwood and Richmond will also play home games at the stadium.
The venue’s season opener will be between Essendon and Adelaide Crows on Friday 23rd March.
